Composition of the Fuel System
A typical motorcycle fuel system consists of the following components:
Fuel tank: Stores gasoline.
Fuel cock/pump: Controls fuel flow. Some models have an electric fuel pump.
Fuel filter: Filters impurities to ensure fuel cleanliness.
Carburetor/Electronic Injection (EFI): Mixes fuel with air and atomizes it.
Carburetor: Delivers fuel through a mechanical mechanism based on vacuum differentials.
EFI: Accurately delivers fuel through the electronic control unit (ECU) and fuel injectors.
Intake system: Air filter and intake manifold.
Combustion chamber: The fuel mixture ignites and burns here, pushing the piston.
